Windsor-Essex Equestrian Centre is a professionally run lesson, boarding, and horse show facility located just outside of Windsor, ON. WEC opened in 2017 when Lindsay and Xavier Traisnel moved back to Lindsay’s hometown. In 2009, Xavier graduated from the Saumur National Riding School with the highest teaching certification recognized internationally. Lindsay then went on to be short listed for the 2012 Olympics. Between them, they bring their experience competing and coaching all over Europe back to Windsor Essex County.
WEC aims to create a safe, fun, and friendly atmosphere where people of all ages and experience can learn to ride. Through their camps and other programs, WEC also offers opportunities to learn horsemanship and how to care for horses. Horseback riding can help improve balance, strength and coordination, while developing patience, self-discipline, and self-confidence. All of this while being a great cardiovascular workout and a lot of fun!
